I thought Tmpgenc was freeware. When I try to encode in SVCD format it gives me a 30 day trial message and puts a nag on my file. Am I missing something here?

TMPGEnc is not allowed to distribute MPEG2 encoding, so anything using MPEG2 (SVCD/DVD) is on a trial basis only, you can use the MPEG1 Encoding for free as far as i know, and I think for around 50$, it's still the best and the cheapest price/performance encoder on the market.
