    Good day, everyone!

As I've already understood, the type of question I'm going to ask is not popular with answers

But still I'll give it a try because I don't really know what else to do but to ask all and sundry

I would really like to find English subtitles for Hot Shots and Hot Shots Part Deux on the net

Google refused to lend me a helping hand showing links to inappropriate subs though it did point to this site

So, does anybody know where I can find English subtitles for Hot Shots and Hot Shots Part Deux? Or may be somebody has them and is willing to share?

    Please reply.

    Look here:
    http://subtitles.images.o2.cz/15/Mho
Google WILL return a link to this site, you just have to know how to phrase the request properly and know how to sift through the garbage answers it gives as the most popular matches.

    Altruist,

    By entering this:
    Code:
    "english subtitles" for "hot shots"
into Google, it brought up several possibilities. This page, for example, has a selection of english subtitles for those two movies.

I see this was your first post here, so welcome to VideoHelp.

    Thnx, aedipuss.

That's almost what I need though there're subs only for one film and as I've checked them earlier they're not exact in a couple of moments.

Thanks for a reminder! Gosh, I've completely forgotten about this site.

True, true. But there's still a way for me to go before I master the skill properly.

Appreciate your help. Sure to find them now!

Didn't really understand about all that opensubtitles.com free software thing, I'm a bit prejudiced against free software need to be installed. But thanks anyway.

You don't need to install any software to use opensubtitles. Just click to download the SRT (usually, sometimes SUB) as a zip file.
They have a custom up/downloading app for those supplying subtitles in bulk, but I've never bothered to use it.

As for timing, it's almost always necessary to adjust, I use Subtitle Workshop.

Hm, when I click on "Download at 25 Mbit" (and there's no other download link), they say I need to register before I can use the site. But during registration they ask my credit card number for no reason - I'm going to download a mere subtitle, am I not? That's not really the way I'd like to get them.

    Altruist,

Just click on the title of the movie (just above the "25 Mbit" line) rather than on the "25 Mbit" line. Do this twice and you'll get to the actual subtitle download page. (I did the same as you 1st time I used the site. Confusing layout, but it's a great place to find subs).

You don't need to register. At least I never had to.

The title itself is the link to the subtitles.

    I gave this link: http://www.opensubtitles.com/en/search2/sublanguageid-all/moviename-hot%20shots
because it gave you both movies.
(For just English subs, use http://www.opensubtitles.com/en/search2/sublanguageid-eng/moviename-hot%20shots

So you find the English subs for "Hot Shots" at
    http://www.opensubtitles.com/en/search/sublanguageid-eng/idmovie-5560
where 5 subs are offered. For most movies there are several subtitles offered. Some are fairly crappy (typos, etc), so look at the previews, or just download several and compare.

So that's how it works. They've done a great job to baffle a humble user.

But they didn't know that there're AlanHK and Squash out there to put him on the right track.

Thanks a bunch for your help. Hope I'll return a favour someday.
