Hi All,

Great forum and highly recommended from the guys (and gurls) over at www.avforums.com.

I'm attempting to enter the streaming media age and through of the following setup which I am currently testing...

Mac Mini (1.66/512mb) running twonky (latest with ps3 support)
XBOX 360 connected to plasma (bedroom)
PS3 connected to plasma (lounge)

I've had some success.

The PS3 and XBOX360 will pickup the AVI's on Twonky and run them, seemingly with no problems although I've get to view a full program (about 40 minutes).

I've ripped one of my DVD's using Mac the ripper (just extracted the main feature) to a VOB file. The PS3 picked this up ran for about 40 minutes and then just stopped. There was some blocking during play back but nothing that serious. I didn't run any diagnositics on the mac mini at the time as the wife wanted to watch the film (had to put the dvd in and watch it there and then!).

The xbox 360 will not read the VOB file (posted already).

The connection between the PS3 and Mac Mini is partially wireless and wired. Basically Apple extreme base station wireless to a Apple plug in wireless thingy then wired to the PS3 (100MB/FULL). I was running a sling box via that connection and getting 2MB/s throughput. I suspect my performance issue is with the Mac Mini...?

Any thoughts / comments / experiences woud be welcome!

Thanks
