I did the search, found the posts, and read them
but again when it comes to vdub, i'm hitting a brick wall
last year i gave-up on vdub, and stuck to using fitCD and AVISYNTH and cce and gui4dvd
I have a couple of ' new years' videos that, that were taken holding the camera wrong
I have already got them in AVI format
I can load them in vdub 1.7.7 use the rotate filter etc.. see the preview
but when I try to save them / process ? and i get 'can't find statfile ' error
what step am i missing, how to I get a output / conversion file save ?????
am i missing some other files ? plugins ?, yes the frame serve client is installed
I just need an avi OR other file in the correct vertical / portrait orientation, so they can be easily viewed ,

It sounds like you are using 2pass encoding. What video->compression settings and you using? DivX or Xvid or?
Click configure to change settings, change to one pass encoding and it should't ask for any statfile. -
yes, i did set 2 pass, and the avi is in divX, output xvid ( didn't see s divX choice ) I'll try changing my settings...thanks
again thanks, i changed the settings to single pass, and got my rotated output avi,
