Following instructions from another posting about setting subtitle timings in these two programs, I created a low-res avi with keyframes every five frames. This started out well when I opened the avi and was able to sync the first few subs. About ten minutes in, suddenly the audio speeds up while the video stays at the normal framerate. Then the programs both crash. It happens at the same point. I have opened this avi file up in VLC Media Player and it plays smoothly at the crash point in the other programs. I updated both and still get the same problem.
