    I downloaded the program, is that it what should i do now, I am having a problem converting avi to mpeg, the video course does not open, it says unsupported, help anyone, my head is already blowing up

    Download the newest divX codec...and maybe the Krystal Syduio Codec Pack to get some other usefull codecs... then INSTALL... and then every program will find the DivX codec.. even TMPGenc... and you just go ahead and convert.

    If the TMPGenc program don't feel like opening the file.. maybe it was'bt fully downloaded? Maybe you're missing a few frames in the end or so, that will mess up the index in the file.

    THen... download DivX fix.. that one will rebuild the index so it'll work.. then try again.
