dvd +r made on lighton 5001 can't be read on desktop or lap top

Have made a few dvd's that play fine on the lighton it was made on but not any of my computers. It shows as being blank. ideas? Thanks

probably a low quality dvdr. use verbatim dvd-r for a better result.

You forgot to finalize it.

But lordsmurf the ts said it was DVD+R they need not to be finalized. So thsi is a weird one.... ???

Perhaps a crappy Recorder or crappy DVD-drive in the computer.

Try to use something like Isobuster and see if it can get something out of it.

It's +RW that don't need to be Finalized, not +R.

thanks gang, u guys r great. I did not know dvd+r's needed to be finalized. ^5 to all. slaped in back in the 5001, finalized, and it reads fine
