I have experience with Windows Movie Maker, but I just recently upgraded to Adobe Premier Elements 4.
I have previously captured 2000 sequentially ordered photos (0 to 1999).
I took one every ten seconds for just under four hours.
I am trying to make a video with a length under four minutes... a compression of time video
I tried to make this project with my former software (WMM) but there simply were too many photos... it crashed before opening them all.
I have two problems:
The first is that I cannot seem to restrict the length of each photo automatically
The second is that the photos are put into the time line in reverse order
Under general preferences/settings I changed the still image default duration to "1" and then re-imported the photos, but this didn't seem to change anything.
Help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you can't get that to work, here is another way you might try. It requires Quicktime Pro. Open Quicktime, then click FILE -> OPEN IMAGE SEQUENCE. It will then open all your images sequentially. You can specify the amount of time you want each image displayed (with each image being a frame). If you choose 15 frames per second you can get a total runtime of about 2-3 minutes. You can then click FILE -> EXPORT and save it as an AVI or Quicktime file. You can also specify the resolution, like 720x480 or 320x240 for example.

Thank you, that sounds like a viable solution. Still... If anyone else has any ideas on how to remedy this inside Premier Elements 4, please let me know.
