I have captured a segment of video to an uncompressed AVI-480x480 @ 29.97 fps. I know the media from which I captured from was out putting 29.97 fps, but I suspect the original video was in 24fps. Is there a utility that will detect if the video has 3:2 conversion? If so, is there a utility or way to convert back to the original 24fps? I assume there is from what I have read how the coversion from 24ps to 29.97fps works. I don't want to have to convert it back unless I know for sure.
BTW: the idea behind this is to encode it at 24fps to mpeg2 then converting it back to 29.97fps for a SVCD. I beleive I would achieve better quality and/or size.
Thanks
