I'm also a DVD Shrink fan, but I preface it with RipIt4Me which tells me whether or not DVD Shrink is likely to work. In most cases, it works fine, except when my Lite-On drive quits with CRC errors - either marginal discs or some kind of copy protection. But in that case, my LG drive almost invariably reads the disc OK. I can't remember how long it has been since I had to try something else to rip a disc, but a long time. To wit, I uninstalled DVDFab HD Decrypter and don't need it anymore, apparently. If I ever need it again (?), I'll install the latest version and try it. There are so many updates that it's a nuisance trying to keep it updated all the time.
