yuvscaler PPC ?

There is a universal binary version of yuvscaler inside the ffmpegX .app package, but replacing it with the older version from the Application Support doesn't work.
Why is this so ? It makes everything a lot slower.
Is there a way to tell which commands ffmpegX is actually performing so that I could simply replace the yuvscaler PPC version by the universal one ?
If not can anyone provide me with the command ?

I would use "DVD ffmpeg" but it didn't work with this rmvb. It simply creates an empty file

Real Video needs mplayer for decoding, as the reallib files are mplayer "plugins".
Therefore an ffmpeg preset, like DVD ffmpeg, won't work.

I don't know about yuvscaler PPC. Maybe someone else can answer that? All I see is that the PPC version is larger than the UB version. So I presume it has some extra code in it (for mplayer/mencoder/mpeg2enc?) that the UB version for ffmpeg doesn't need.

yuvscaler changed a lot and its usage is no longer the same. I lost old sources, so I compiled the current ones as an Universal binary.
