Just wondering if this is at all possible.I'm sure it is in the HD DVD category but maybe not so for standard DVD?
Wondering if one were to put a special features section on a DVD and that lead to a music player of sorts to play music files? I'm picturing some sort of 'jukebox' player that has song title, length, artist .... etc....

I have done this on a restoration I did once. The tape was an old music special that was only ever released on VHS 20 years ago, and has never been re-released. I took the CD of the sound track and used that to restore the audio where possible, however two of the tracks on the CD were different to the tracks on the video version. For these I cleaned up the video version as well as I could, and put the CD versions on as extra tracks. In my case the simplest method was to make them the audio for menu pages. The user picked a track, the menu screen came up with some info on it, and played the track at the same time.

If you encode the audio with minimal black video tracks and set them up as different titles then you could use title playlists to give the user the option of different playback orders, or even a random play option from the menu.
