Does anyone know of the proper code number for the Philips Universal Consolidator 4 (PM435S) to control the Philips DVDR 3575H? I bought the Philips thinking that their own remote would control their machine. Perhaps the remote is too old and the DVDR too new?
If not can you please tell me which (inexpensive) remote will work?
Thanks!

Several people are using the Sony RM-VL600 and seem to like it. I tried it but it didn't have a logical button for 12 of the 3575's 47 buttons on its remote. Wal-Mart carries the remote.

I am using a Philips SRP5107/27 which I just picked up for $7 at Walmart.com (closeout). It picked up my Sony TV and Raite DVd player (using Yamakawa code). No code worked for the Philips DVR (DVDR3575H/37), but it's a learning remote, so if your existing DVR remote still works (which is unlikely), then it's just fine.
