OK...for some bizzare reason my first post never posted...here's the skinny...
I want to watch all the junk I've downloaded on my television...I've done a little research for cards with simple video outs and the vga scan converters...for all you techies out there who've done this---what's the best method? I'm leaning towards a scan converter, b/c they don't look that expensive and it makes sense to have something external to do all the converting in lieu of putting it on my video card, which I prefer to have power for gaming...suggestions?
Also, what is the deal with downloading a television episode or movie and Windoze Media Player(7.1)going out, searching for the codec, supposedly downloading it---and no sound plays?!?! I've tried seperate players, like The Playa from divx.com and another third party movie player...they both try to open the .avi/divx and the video is fine, but there's no sound...I'm running Windoze 2k, by the way, if that helps....
I appreciate the help, if I can get it!!! Thanks...
