    my friend bought a Dell PC but it didn't come with an XP Disc, now there are loads of software problems on the Dell, is there a way I can just save the XP onto the disc without all the Dell given software.

    If you mean can you just install/reinstall XP from the Dell recovery disk without all the extra stuff, probably not....

    I think he means to "copy" just XP to a data CD or DVD (since he said he does not have the recovery discs).

    I would just start cleaning that PC up first. There are tons of free apps like CCleaner(Crap Cleaner) and registry cleaner apps.....there is even a Dell De-Crapifier app out there for free.
