I have a Nokia cellphone with a video camera. It produces nokia clips in 3gp format, that can only play on their Nokia software. It has the ability to convert to mp4 format, which I did. I am still not able to play it on WMP.

I want to post a few small clips on to a forum, so the "general" pc user should be able to see the clips. So my questions are:

They accept the following formats: doc gif jpeg jpg pdf png txt xls

    1. To what format should I convert
    2. What programmes are available.

    These are 20sec clips.

I normally use my Panasonic Motion DV for normal video, use TMPGEnc, etc, etc. This would not be appropriate here?

The forum seems to only accepts images(gif jpeg jpg) , you could post screenshots from the 3gp video(with for example media player classic, install ffdshow to decode 3gp,mp4).

Or upload the 3gp or mp4 to youtube and just link to youtube.

I just took another few clips with my digital camera. They are actually better. They are in mpeg format, but the size is obviously too big (2-7 MB). How can I reduce those and post?

    Thanks for your quick reply

You can't post any video. Upload to youtube or make screenshots from the mpeg and post.
