ahh! quick! help! convert files?!?!

heyy! i have a problem that i need help with fast!!! i made a video on vegas 8 but when i try to upload it to the site it says it doesnt accept veg format videos. how do i convert it to avi or wmv!?!?!? or something else that it would accept??? thanks soo much!!!!

What's a 'veg' format? You sure you're not trying to send a project file? That's just for Vegas internal use. Vegas should output a normal video file. I think you picked the wrong one.

And what type of 'site' are you trying to upload to? YouTube or similar? I don't know that Vegas can output WMV formats.

.veg is just the project file. You need to render it out to a video using File -> Render. From there you can render to an avi file, although rendering with Xvid or Divx is pretty hit or miss, or you can render to WMV, amongst many other formats. If you do need Divx/Xvid I suggest render out to DV avi, then using AutoGK.

why do they download a program like vegas and expect it to be a one click wonder? can't even open the help tab and try to work it out themselves......
