  1. Hi

I Cannot Convert/Rip WM Video Files?

I have a Windows Media video file, and i have tried to convert using Allok AVI to DVD SVCD.

I have also tried other converters. I Just get Unsupported file or the file is damaged.

The file plays perfect using VLC Media Player, but it won't play on the Windows Media player, i just get the following

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play.

Is there any other way i can over ride this problem to get it onto a disc?

    Thanks

try gspot to see if it's really a wm file. if so it's probably incomplete and not usable. the only thing i might try is vlc has the ability to render to other formats. use file/wizard to convert to another format.

  3. Hi Aedipuss

You are spot on. I put it through gsport. Turns out to be OGM
    OGG Media Files

Do you know of a Freeware or trial ware OGM video converter.

    Thanks

ConvertXtoDVD should be able to do it. The trial is watermarked, unfortunately. You might also try FAVC or DVD Flick, although I haven't used them for ogm files.
