    hi,

Got a few problems and questions.

    1. I am tyring to compress in windows media video, however when I select windows media audio (wma), there are no options avaliable for bitrates.

    2. Also I have noticed that windows media video encodes much slower than xvid, is this normal?

    3. In Vdubmod there is only a "Save as AVI" option, is there any way to save with a wmv container?

    Thanks,
    Kidcash.

    Definitely that's not normal.

is there any way to save with [s:675c8385c1]a wmv[/s:675c8385c1] an ASF container?
Only if you use a different application ---
--- WMNicEnc or Windows Media Encoder for example.

    3. Nope, you can only save as avi in virtualdubmod(but avi can hold wmv video).

How about using windows media encoder or windows movie maker? or are you using filters in virtualdubmod?

I do sometimes use filters in vdubmod, but I just prefer to use vdubmod and would like it to work.

Your Windows Media setup may be corrupted, or you may not have the proper WM "authoring" package installed. Do some research re: Windows Media authoring for your version of WM....also, after setting a Restore point, try a re-install.
