Hello all,

I've recorded some old (from 1993) VHS tapes to my computer and have notice some color issues. During playback the video seems to flicker the colors on about the top 1/3 of the video. Now, I'm using VirtualDub with the Deshaker 2.2 plugin to fix the shakiness of the home video and I'm noticing that the color errors seem to occure mostly on the lower field and not the top field of the interlaced video.

Because it occurs mostly on the lower field and occasionally on the top field, but rarely on both at the same time, I'm hoping that there is a filter or something that can help to fix the problem. I guess it would be similar to what the Deshaker does by scanning forward and backward by a predetermined number of frames to fill in gaps.

Does anyone know of a good plugin that would help with this? I'm fairly new to VirtualDub so I'm not very sure about its capabilities, but I'm very impressed with the Deshakers abilities.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated,
Thanx in advance,
Cheers,
