I am new to video conversion and am looking for a way to convert a 45min. DVD to Flash. I currently have a webserver that will convert any format into the FLV file but I need to RIP the DVD first. Here is the real problem... I read that MOV has be best quality and can be set as "lossless". Basically I dont want to RIP the DVD into the most compressed format because then my FLV looks like crap and is pixelated.
I would really appreciate any assistance with this. Also the second part of this issue is that I need to do this conversion on an intel MAC. Again the end goal is FLV or to a format that will convert well into a FLV file for a website. Thanks!!!

If your FLV looks like crap, then that is more likely because of the conversion settings of the server app, than because of of the source file it uses for conversion. If you have no control over the settings used, then even excellent quality source files could be made to look like crap.Originally Posted by dstalls
