Right now I am currently encoding 30 avi's with a 3 to 4 minute time limit from snes series Mega Man X.
I want to put these on a specifc page that I am currently working on.
You know you would watch a flash movie on youtube right ? after it's done it will either show your movie clips in a thumbnail strip right below the paused video or show other's movies.

This would really come in handy for me, but I don't want to host this youtube to be viewable there instead I want it on my site, yes I have paid for my domain name and hosting. so I'm not free hosting with limited storage and crap.

Is this possible to do and won't conflict with youtubes sorce code and threatning letter from their attorney for copy right use ?

  2. It shouldn't be a problem with Youtube if you are using open source software to encode...

However, it might violate copyrights from Mega Man X

It's ok, I am going to show boss battle's from mmx1-mmx3 and no ending or secrets paths.

If I were to host this on youtube with the other 29 clips. will my preview thumbnails show up on my site or other people's similiar video's which is something I "DO NOT" want on my site ?

Or should I use a software program to develop a thumbnail video system to get the same effect on youtube ?

  4. hmm, maybe if you assign the name of the video (a unique name) as tags for all the videos, that will pop up the "related" videos as usual, only there arnt any related videos but yours (because of your funky tag) ... a work around, i know
