    I think lame should be in c:\windows\system 32 folder

    Yeah you can pretty much mux anything into mkv containers (even photos, subtitles etc...)

    Before you run it through convertx, test to see if the merged mkv plays in sync

    well after converting to MP3 it was just all white noise....
    I forgot this happened last night and merged them backtogether which went well hehe... so now im splitting the file again to get the DTS audio back to transform it into something....

    what shall i do now?

    I would rather try another form of DTS->AC3 conversion instead of retrying this mp3 method as it takes 40mins a pop which i think is quite long to convert 1h30m of audio
