    Hey guys,

I have just recently upgraded my iPod to a new 160gb classic and have noticed that some of the song will not play, when i check the songs in iTunes they play fine however when trying to play them on the iPod nothing is heard, the player display all the information ie artist, song, album, album cover, length of track etc but the progress bar does not move.

Could the songs be the wrong format?

What information does iTunes provide about the songs that don't work? (Try right-clicking on one of the songs that don't work in the Library and select Get Info.)

The iPod may or may not have problems with some forms of VBR in an MP3. Most of the time, I don't have any problems with VBR MP3s, so I'm not sure what the iPod might not like. To be safe, you can always convert the songs to AAC/Apple Lossless before importing them onto the iPod.
