  1. I just downloaded this player and it seems to do everything I want and then some. But I can't find anywhere on how to toggle between the audio streams.

Ctrl-X works for me, at least for AVIs and VOBs. Some external splitters may not allow direct switching. Following picture is from an English/Spanish dual-audio AVI. Clicking on the "audio type" button will show the available tracks, as you can see.

A KMP user called Narayan is working on an English user guide. It should be excellent, based on his previous work that I've seen. Documentation is very weak right now, but they do have a very active forum with a good tips section.

  3. strangely, I do see Ctrl X is in fact the key to toggle but I don't have this in my menu.

I'm able to do this in every other software I use. I just have to select the correct audio/language stream.

Yeah, I just tried the other MPEG2-PS splitters that KMP offers (DirectX, System Default, and Gabest's) and I got the same thing as you are showing (using a DVD VOB file with 3 audio tracks).

If I use to the "KMP MPEG 1/2 Splitter", however, the audio tracks show up and are switchable via Ctrl-X. I've found KMP's internal splitters to be pretty good for my needs, so I usually just leave them alone unless I'm experimenting.

  5. how do I change it? It's a powerful player but way to powerful and configuration which makes it confusing. We need a bible to be able to use it.

Hit F2 to get to the settings (or right-click on the screen, then on "options", then "preferences"). That will give you this screen:

Edit: You'll need to restart the player after changing the splitter before it will take effect.
