I have 20 DVDs that I want to transfer to DVD. I don't have the time or the energy to do it myself so I'm looking for a service to do it for me. Does anyone know of a good place that will do this at a reasonable price?
I don't want anything fancy, no labels, boxes or menus. Most of the tapes are less then an hour long, 3 are 2 hours long. It should be a simple job. I just want the video itself to look as good as it can.
I've sent a few tapes to Video Silo to test their service out. They did a great job for me and I was about to send more work their way but it looks like they aren't around any more. Their website just forwards you to a bunch of useless links.

You've been PM'd some information on where to get quality work done.
Video Silo went from a sloppy business to an outright scam, stealing a lot of tapes (people's memories! for shame!) and money. https://forum.videohelp.com/topic324347.html You're lucky to have gotten your project completed and returned.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

I'm in the same boat - I have an old PAL S-VHS tape in my possession and I would like to transfer it to DVD with best possible quality.
Any pointers to reliable service that can do the transfer?
I would try to do it myself using Pinnacle DC30 but I can't find a PAL S-VHS VCR anywhere in Seattle. So I guess online service is my only choice.

Check out http://www.pixelhat.net . You can get your old VHS (non-PAL) transferred to DVD for $5 per tape, plus the cost of shipping.

Just a suggestion.
I think that it's a bit hasty to judge based on how new the company is. The price is right given how accessible that technology is these days. Compare this with similar services out there charging 10 times the same amount. Who's to say those other sites are any more or less trustworthy?
You sound like a tech-savvy person, so you may be better off doing transfers on your own. -
Confluence-media.com
I've been doing it for over 10 years. $30 for up to an hour, $35 for up to two hours from one tape to an authored DVD.
