  1. Hi
Has anyone experienced a problem with their JVC as below?

*when the tape ejects, the eject motor stays running for 10 seconds after the tape is out, then the unit shuts down.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance...

It might just be a worn (stretched) loading belt. The loading motor and belt are on the right side of the transport. The motor is at the back and the belt feeds forward. IIRC, it is easy to reach the belt and replace it after removing the top cover.

The JVC Part No. for the belt is LP30005-003A. You might also find a suitable replacement at Frys, etc.
Life is better when you focus on the signals instead of the noise.

Hi, I don't know if you ever got to fix this problem but if you need to do a phase matching it seems like a daunting task. I also have a HR-S9800U, if you download the service manual (I think it's in this forum if you search) there's instructions on that on Section 2 (Mechanism Adjustment). But I would not dare...

Just out of curiosity, did you fix it?
