  1. I'm very new to video compression. What I've done in the past has been using DVD Decrypter in IFO mode and then creating the compressed video file in .avi using Vidomi Encoder.

I've had a small problem though; nothing big, just annoying. After the conversion and compression I always end up with two files. 1 file generally has all of the information I need and the other has the last part of final credits etc. I don't know how to get ALL of the video on one file. Is there something, such as the Two Pass system, that's making it two files instead of one?

    EX.
I ripped a video. The bigger file was 348 MB (it contained the video) and the smaller was 1 MB (the final bit of credits.

    Can anyone help please?

    Here are some thoughts:
    Are you using version .469?
What are your settings under Options > Output Size Options.. > Media Size (Maximum AVI File Size)
What are your settings under Options > Output Size Options.. > Select the Target Size as an Absolute Size

Vidomi hasn't been updated since 2001. Have you considered updating to a slightly more robust software such as AutoGK?

<edit>It may be possible to join the two files Vidomi gave you by using VirtualDub.

  3. I'm using .469
My settings for media size is set for 348
and then target size is 348 as well.

I'll check out AutoGK. Thanks! and I'll try the virtual dub too.
