Hi all. OK. Here's my problem:
I recorded something (A friend's concert thing) at 1080i, 24p, cine mode, all that jazz. Filled two MiniDV tapes full of it. First of all, I realize that yes, they weren't HDV tapes, but I didn't have any, and I went ahead and recorded on MiniDV tapes using those settings anways (foolish, I know, but I'm still not exactly sure why). I go to capture it to Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, and I can CONTROL the camera from Premiere, but I cannot CAPTURE anything. I can play it using the controller in CS3, but it just plays on the camera, and nothing on the screen. Can anybody tell me what's going on? How can I get Premiere to figure this out?
Also, the Premiere project is at 24 fps, too.

I don't use premeire so I can't help you fully. What I can tell you is that your source footage is fine, because recording to HD tapes is not a requirement. Once you figure out the correct camera/Premeire settings, you should be fine.

try setting the cam output to HDV instead of Auto
also, try outputing DV and see what you get
