Is there a way to automate (without using Final Cut GUI) the conversion between fcp file format and xml interchange format?
As I'm reorganizing a file system containing thousands of final cut projects and quicktime sequences, I need to process an open format (xml) to re-reference the video files' pathes, and eventually convert the xml back to fcp format. The problem is not xml processing, but the automation of the process on large amount of fcp files.
Sadly, Apple's philosophy "no matter where the files are stored" just doesn't fit in a professional video data management system.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks
Jerome
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

I'm in much the same predicament you were and have yet to find an answer to the question. Do you remember how you handled it by any chance?
