I've found a nice tool to extract subtitles from mkv files - MKVExtractGUI. But every time I open it, I get error message: "mkvextract.exe and/or mkvmerge.exe not found in the same MKVGextractUI folder. Copy them intho this folder and try again".

I do not see the files anywhere in the rar archive I've downloaded.

    Whatam I missing? Thank you.

You are missing mkvextract. mkvextractGUI is just that - a Graphical User Interface for mkvextract. Click on the link in this port (or yours - above) to be taken to the tools section to download it.

    guns1inger, thank you!

I am completely lost: I know the Web page. I've been there not once. And I've downoloaded both Wizard and MKVExtractGUI right from there.

But the rar archives do not include the mentioned files and I do not see the files as separate items on the Web site.

You need to download the mkvtoolnix package (that word to the left should've been turned into an automatic link, either click on it, or go to http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/downloads.html ), which will include the necessary files. Download the correct build for your system (in this case, you'd want the Unicode build), and install it to the same directory as MKVExtractGUI (important!)
