Will SATA Burners solve problem while burning 2 disks simultaneously?

I know when I tried burning 2 disks at the same time with two older NEC burners, it was going with speed X8 instead of usual X16. So, burning 2 disks simultaneously actually takes longer than burning one by one!

Will SATA Burners solve this bottleneck problems while burning 2 disks simultaneously? Can I burn two disks at once with speed X16 or more if I buy 2 SATA X20 Samsung burners?

Usually, if you are burning two copies of the same disc, it should be as fast as a single disc, if your burners are both the same model, etc.

I don't know that SATA would be any different. Only the interface is different. The burners are generally the same internally.

But what burning program are you using with the two burners? That may be the problem. Or it may relate to your motherboard drive controllers.

depending on your motherboard sata controllers will determine whether or not the SATA DVD burner will actually work correctly. mobo's w/INTEL chipsets like ICH8/9 will work fine, NVIDIA chipset will work if you use the latest drivers from their website and VIA basically will give you nothing but headaches. If you have the VIA chipset then it's best to use a PCI SATA CONTROLLER CARD w/the SILICON IMAGE 3112/3114 chipset w/RAID DISABLED. RAID should be disabled in mobo bios anyway even if you're using INTEL or NVIDIA chipset.

What's the set up? Are both drives on the same IDE chain? Try putting them on separate ones by themselves, and have the source on an SATA HDD.
