extracted the mpg file from an svcd with winiso. when I try to open it I'm told the format is not supported. Have installed and reinstalled the mpg2 codecs to no effect. What am I doing wrong?

you tried upgrading to the newest version of windows media player (even thought its enormously gay)..?
Try opening the file with a program such as PowerDVD, or WinDVD or whatever. -
I believe I have the latest version.....well what I really meant was that I can't open it in tmpgenc, virtual dub etc.

I'm having the same problem with one SVCD I have. I can open other mpegs off of SVCDs just fine, but not this one. Perhaps I have gotten ahold of some sort of XSVCD and didn't know it? It would be great if somebody could explain why this happens.
