  1. Hi while i am trying convert an MKV file to DVD but the mkv file has 2 audio languages English being second, since i cannot choose which one i want, FAVC picks the first one. so i use mkvextract to extract the first language and mkvmerge to merge the english and video. then i put it through FAVC still no success. this time there is no audio at all.
    can somebody help me.

It should work, can you play that file in WMP ?

    what is the audio format ? AC3 ? AAC ? DTS ?

if it is AC3 or DTS just convert the video with FAVC, you just need the elementary video stream...discard the rest

then use MUXMAN or other authoring tool to mux your audio with the video and author the DVD

if it is AAC then you must convert it using FAAD

if you didn't save FAVC temporaries : use VobEdit to demultiplex the vob files, or other tool like ProjectX

then as I said before use MuxMan to author the DVD with the audio

    is just that simple

Which version of FAVC ? There have been a number of issues reported with 1.05. I am still using 1.04 and do have these problems.

FAVC will not produce vobs with no audio track - it just won't.
