I have been trying to convert MKV files to AVI but i have encountered problems
I have tried AlltoAVI but every time I start it up I get and error message saying:

    "Run-time error '372'

Failed to load control 'MMControl' from MC132.OCX. your version of MC132.OCX may be outdated. Make sure your are using the version of the control that was provided with your application."

I hav asked the creator of the app witch wasn't very helpful.

I have also tried VirtualDUB using this tutorial: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic341999.html

I don't know how to get the Lame MP3 to appear in the compression...

    Help would be appreciated

Download the LAME MP3 ACM archive and unpack it to a folder. Locate the inf file (or if you have extensions hidden, the one that widows calls an Installer), right-click and select Install. Say Yes to any security dialogues that appear. You should now have access to LAME through Virtualdub.

You sure it's not MCI32.OCX? In that case, it's a Visual Basic Multimedia Control, which makes sense in this context.

Neither do I know. Use Google to search for MCI32.OCX - I'm sure you'll find plenty.
