    Hi All,

Was just wondering if someone could direct me to the right information.

I recently purchased a DVD Recorder, and as i expected, it detects anti copy signals in some cable programing and some pre-recorded VHS tapes, and refuses to record these. Is there an option short of a TBC to strip these out ? can one device take care of both live programing and pre-recorded tapes ? Are there any known hacks for a Philips DVDR3575H recorder.

    Thanks

By pre-recorded tapes, I believe you are talking about Macrovision on commercial tapes. Macrovision is anti-copy technology. You need a TBC to deal with this.

I don't know of any hacks to get around the anti-copy cable signals for DVD recorders, but perhaps someone else has a solution.

Yes Im Aware of Macrovision just wondering I guess if Anti-Copy signal in On-Demand Digital Programing is related or different than Macrovision ! And even if different is there a device that will filter all ! I Guess a good TBC that replaces or re-builds video signal could do both !

Thanks All, In Advance for Your Suggestions !
