    What are the legal issues regarding using customer supplied copyrighted audio when producing a photo video DVD for their own personal use? Often people have a favorite song or songs they would like to use as the audio background for a photo video DVD. They own the source (usually a CD). Is there a copyright issue if these songs are used as an audio background? If so, is there a way to obtain the right to use them?

    there probably isn't any problem for the consumer. it's pretty much a "fair use" for them. BUT, that only applies to them if they do it. if someone else does it for them for profit, then that person is not covered by fair use.
