i cannot for the life of me find the problem here, i have been converting and burning different movie formats for a couple of years now, i converted a avi file with convertxtodvd, but when i burn the file only 30 mins of it will burn to the disk, powerdvd plays the whole movie in the video_ts folder, this has happened to me once before and it was a torrent from the same people, i have tried to use winavi to convert and burn, same thing happens and also tried a different burner, can seem to fix the problem any ideas would be great, thanks

So the video_ts folder work as it should before you burn? and after you burn it will only play 30 min?
How big is the video_ts folder after you converted with convertxtodvd? And how big is the folder on the dvd media after you burned?

I would try convert with something else like dvd flick or favc.

the avi file is 718 MB and after converting the video _ ts folder with converted files is 1.04 GB, and it will only burn 40 MB of the contents of the video_ts folder.

Looks like the file is not properly converting. The video_ts folder size should be closer to 4GB. The 1.04 GB file you are seeing is likely only 1/4 of the movie. Chances are, the original file is corrupt and not completely converting. Playback of a file on a PC is not always a good indication that the file is OK. PC playback software can often mask problems in a file and "appear" to play back normally.

You can lood in the Tools section (Video Repair/Fix) for a tool to correct the problem with the original file. Most likely it won't be salvageable and you will need to find another copy/version.
