    What do you guys suggest should be the minimum specs on a computer for someone who is going to be playing back HD 720p and 1080i avi videos?

    my mini (the less expensive, 1,83 core2duo) manages to read them with VLC, without losing frames (do not forget to suppress postprocessing/loop in VLC prefs for 1080 streams)
