    Hi,
    i've got imovie hd and i am using it to cap from a vhs source using a hv20 camcorder and an ibook g4.

    It captures fine up to around the four min mark and then just stops for no reason. I have around 30gb of space left so i don't think that is an issue.

    Any ideas?

    the Hv20 is used for Passthrough of the Analog signal to the
    iBook's FW port? Is the footage being captured to the iBook's internal drive
    or an external one?

    thanks for advice, yes i am using it as passthrough with the footage being captured to the internal hdd. I have given up on imovie and switched to final cut. Captured fine without any hiccups.
    I hope this has taught you kids a lesson: kids never learn.
