I changed the file extension of a VRO file to MPG for editing with Ulead Video Studio 11 (which won't work on VRO's). Only the first scene is visible though. I can move the jog slider around to reveal sections inside the full movie - this is hapharzard however, with sound often being out of sync.
Is there an application I can use that will accurately identify scenes in a VRO/MPEG file so that I can edit these.
TIA
Mart

Why won't VS 11 handle VRO's. No problem with VS 10
But is the VRO on your hard drive ? The program needs to import the dvd from the disk and then you edit the mpeg from there. -
The VRO is on the HDD - but why is that an issue? I don't have the VRO's on the actual DVD's anymore

The VRO is the raw mpeg.
The index to the various sections of the recording are stored in the files on the disk.
If it's just one recording there would be no problem but with several they are all joined together.
No difference really with a dvd-video disk as the various VOBs still store many different parts and the index (ifo) has to be read to distinguish them.
No software can distinguish the sections from the raw mpeg.
