Believe it or not but i am trying to backup this old movie (from 2003) with Jamie Kennedy called Malibu's Most Wanted and i keep getting read error about 30 seconds into the rip. I am using dvdfab hd decrypter version 4012 which is only a few weeks old and it is really puzzling. The mesage i get is "DVDfab HD Decryter encounters a reading error (may be caused by protection) which can be removed by using Pathplayer . . . blah blah. Would you like to restart dvdfab . . and enable pathplayer?" So i do and i still get the error. I was wondering if anyone has had problem with this older movie and can tell me what they used to back it up.

Try using DVD Decrypter and see what it says. My guess would be scratches or finger prints

Warm water with a mild detergent and a soft cloth usually does the trick, although I find Windez can also help and is a quicker solution
