I have a Panasonic DVD recorder which (as I have leaned to my cost) has an "easy" and a "roundabout" way of recording to DVD's. The "easy" way for me is to record in a manner that I can take the little DVD out of the recorder, put it into my DVD player, and watch it on my TV. As I have discovered, this way the files are stored in VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders.
The other "roundabout" way seems to store the files as VRO's(?), which then (I think) needs to be converted to to able to play in a DVD player. Is this correct?
After messing around for ages trying to to work out all the intricacies of file formats etc. I think I have managed to mutilate the VRO's that my recorder created (by converting them to MPEG's, then back to VRO's, then to AVI's, then back to VRO's - what a mess ) - what I have ended up with is one big file which ONLY Windows Media Player will play entirely (but not in the correct scene order) - all other players will only play one scene. So - is it possible for me to resurrect this poor file into something I can watch on my TV, with ALL scenes intact.

    Thanks all.

Just search here or Google for "VRO to DVD".
And please use a subject that describes your question!
