Hey guys, well I haven't had to use converters much because I had a zen vision M, which supports a large amount of video formats. But that broke not too long ago and now I have a Microsoft Zune, which only supports wmv and MP4, mp4 seems to be the better of the two.

I had been using SUPER converter for a while, and it usually worked pretty well (but that's because i didn't have to ever convert my DVD's) I usually just used it to convert youtube flv videos to avi, and the audio and video was always in sync and with the same video quality. Now using SUPER to try and convert to MP4 DVD's and other videos are usually out of sync, I tried messing with the framerate to try and get them together again and that worked alright, but it never was the same, and the quality seemed quite a bit poorer. I've got about 20gb of videos that are avi and I need to convert them to mp4 somehow, and I'm hoping that they can be the same video quality and in sync, and maybe in the same MB range as the original video. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've also used 3PG converter but it seems to have lots of errors :/ but it did keep the video in sync which is good. But any help would be great, thanks.

Convert your DVDs to MP4 with AutoMKV instead...or get DVDFab, not free but very easy to use.

K i'm going away for the weekend and I left that AutoMKV tool on with a few videos to convert. I used 3pg converter though and it all worked great, the only problem is it makes the video blow up so that it isn't widescreen anymore, and it looks all weird. any ideas?

Err damn, it didn't let me copy it to my zune, I need to find out the specific codec that the zune can use in mp4 container. man I hate how much you have to do to get a few simple movies on :/

I downloaded DVDFab and started it up, but I only have the avi files, no images or anything. Do you know of any software that can convert from that?
