Hi
Is anybody out there that can help me to solve a mystery of how to convert DVD menu and extra footage from PAL to NTSC? I have a whole bunch of disk in pal system(that is not copyright protected) yet I need to covert into NTSC system. Converting video files is no problem, but the menu is untouchable. I simply can not make it same disk there is in pal and all the menus and extra, to NTSC. Please if anybody knows how to convert that stupid menu from disk , so that I can have the same disk, there is in pal system in NTSC system.
Which software will do that?
Thank you very much

There is no software to do it. The only way to do it is to pull it all apart, convert each part, then re-assemble it. In short, it can be done, bit is difficult and time consuming. Those that have done it (and if you search you will find posts on how to do it) usually only attempt it once or twice, then go and purchase a player capable of playing PAL discs so they don't have to do it again.
It is far simpler to re-author with your own menu.Read my blog here.

This one is NTSC to PAL, but it might give you an idea what would be involved. https://forum.videohelp.com/topic342775.html
And this isn't Latest News. Moving you. Please post in the proper forum.

I have Scenarist installed and CCE . My question is how do you get it to do the conversion. I put a PAL DVD in
the drive and using the wizzard and selecting the option to do a conversion at the last screen in the wizard i
rip the menu to my HDD but my PAL menu comes out as PAL . It doens't do any conversion. I set the paths
to my CCE and Scenarist and softencode for the audio. I've read were others were having this same issue
on Doom9 and then they must have received a PM as they just got it working without anyone openly stating
how to do it. Am i supposed to be getting a PAL menu from a PAL DVD and then do the conversion using
another method ?
The program seems so straight forward but it just isn't converting to NTSC . The menu is a still menu. -
Maybe this will help, and maybe not:

The NuMenu4U menu section is in Part 6, not quite halfway down. I could never get NuMenu4U to work at all, the couple of times I tried it a long time ago. This is about the best guide I've seen for this, except for the fact that it relies on some expensive and some dead software. Maybe you've already discovered this guide. -
NuMenu4u freezes up on me when in the Scenarist stages, donations are no longer being accepted from
what i've been told. I've put quite some time into this and finally....FINALLY got it all working. The multiple
menu system on 16x9 DVD's along with the subpictures was a major set back. I managed to find another
method that works and i feel it's flawless. I've tried this on 2 other 16x9 titles once i got it working and
so far no issues. All these menus were still menus but the motion menus would only be an extra step.
I have almost finished a tutorial ( text, screen shots and videos of each step ) but i've been advised
against posting it here. Check out the complete PAL > NTSC menu conversion i've managed to
complete ( only took 2 weeks of surfing ). I'd be ashamed to admit the number of hours i've put into
doing this but it's good exercise for the mind, beats being a couch potato.

Yes, i've seen it. I have been searching for information for weeks and have come across that guide.
Have you tried that guide Alex, i don't think you have other wise i doubt you would have mentined
it. This is a very involved process and will take up alot of your free time so it requires alot of devotion.

I've used numenu4u a number of times before with muxman when converting menus from PAL to NTSC, and maybe there were only a handful that have had a problem. So I can confirm that it does work most of the time. For the ones I did have a problem I usually just did it manually. And it is possible with free tools although of course it's a more time consuming process than using numenu4u. But here are a couple links from awhile ago that pretty much summarizes the method I used:

and on converting the subpics:

Thank You Pinstripe23, through my searches i've run across many of your posts on the subject your input
is much appreciated .
