  1. Ok, I got some news regarding the Templates, i've done some tests last night (not done yet, early assumptions) and i'm thinking that the major change which causes all the problem is the DC = 10, I won't be able to guarntee it untill tonight, but i'll let you all know if I was right.

And thanks for backing me up guys! I don't know if I helped 99% of the forum, but i'm glad I was able to help atleast some of you.

Sefy: WHOA! Can you bring me up to speed (I read backwards and don't see what problem you refer to)...

Are you saying the "green bar" effect is caused by DC=10? Or the problems people are saying are with your new templates?

I don't think that it's DC=10 (if we're talking the setting on the first TMPGEnc output page, governing "smoothness" of output video)... I've been playing around with CinemaCraft for a while, and every encode I've done (MPEG-2 anyway) uses DC=10, by default. And no problems there!

Please explain, maybe I'm making a mistake with my CCE encodes here too... though so far I'm very pleased with them...

  3. Hi There, well firstly, the Green Bar effect is usually caused when using Interlaced, as disregard my message on the DC=10, as i've said it was an early assumption, i'm still running encoding to see when exactly it happens.

I'm gonna be a little slow about this, so I apologise in advance, i'm trying to work on a guide for chapters, and considering I know nothing about it, if I manage to make it, everyone will

I could use some pointers though!

    Sefy,

Yes you actually helped me out personally and I thank you for taking the time to do so. A lot of people wouldn't take the time to help others that they do not know personally as I've experienced.

Also, regarding the green bar, The only green bar I noticed was on playback, while watching my seinfeld episodes, divx format, while running windows media player. I noticed the green bar after I installed the divx codec 4.0. I uninstalled it and now just use my old divx codec 3.11 alpha release and I no longer see a green bar on playback. I'm not sure if it's the same green bar as others are experiencing, but I just thought I'd share my green bar experience.

    Whenever I encode/rip dvd's to make vcd's 2.0, I never see a green bar (knock on wood)

    Scott
