  2. Hmmm . . . . . This link (and the extract taken from it) says the limit is 10 minutes and 100 mb . . . . Strange the one you cite is 49 minutes.

    www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?answer=57924

"Once you’ve finished editing your video, made sure it's less than 10 minutes, smaller than 100MB, and in an acceptable format, you're ready to upload it."

Yet, here's a link that purports to tell you how to do it!

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=gQfZ8d82spY

This link may give the explanation:

    http://youtube.com/results?search_query=videos+longer+than+10+minutes&search=Search+YouTube

"I can upload videos longer than 10 minutes because I signed up for Director before Google acquired YouTube. Back then, Directors [could] upload videos longer than 10 minutes. After the Google acquisition, YouTube no longer allowed new Directors to upload more than 10 minutes, but older Directors like me are still allowed to upload videos over 10 minutes in length."

The question then becomes, when did Google acquire YouTube? After 10/10/07? Several YouTube folks simply say "the rules were changed."

BTW, all this information was found by simply going to YouTube and searching on "videos longer than 10 minutes". The above are only a few examples. You may want to look for yourself.

Spritemoney, in the future please use a more descriptive subject title in your posts to allow others to search for similar topics. I will change yours this time. From our rules:

    Thanks,

  4. There might be some kind of secret to it, though. I once saw a video by a non-director user that was 20+ minutes long.
