I'm wanting to create DVD's that provide interactive quizzes (eg, multiple choice, etc.) that are similar to the likes of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

I've heard about ZooDigitals DVD-Extra product but it's £4,000 to buy - which is way out of my budget.

I can't find any similar products so wondered if anyone had some ideas or recommendations.

I would recommend DVDLab Pro 2.x

it is possible to use free/open source software to create interactive games. DVDAuthorGUI as a sample project that manipulates VM commands to create an interactive game.

It depends what you want to do.

If you are prepared to plan it all out carefully and then create all the assets and author, and be prepared for it to take some time to get right, then you can do it with pretty much anything. DVD Lab Pro would be a good choice, but you could do it equally as well with DVD Workshop Pro or GUIForDVDAuthor.

DVD-Extra is the closest to an automated solution, which is why it is so expensive.
