    Hi

Recently i had bought my boyfriend a Magnavox MWR10D6 DVD Recorder.
It works fine when recording and playing on its own.

However when he inserts a Homemade DVD that he made with DVD FAB
Most of the movies are choppy but only on this Magnavox Machine
and on no other DVD Player.

We had called tech support, and they had said they never heard of any problems but to try
and use usa region codes only.If thats the case why is it some movies dont play choppy and others do

And if i must change the region Code of a Disk how do i do that so it wont play choppy
    on the Magnavox Machine

Or is there something else someone here knows so we can work around this proble,

    Please help
    Thank you so much

Region code won't affect playback. It either accepts the disc or it won't. DVD's that you have burned yourself have no region coding anyway.

Most likely the issue is related to the media that you are using. Some players are very picky about the brand/type of media that they support (Sony for instance). Try a different brand/type of media. Verbatim and TY are the most reliable. Either way, it will be a matter of trial and error to find which brand(s) work best with that player.

    Hi

Thank you for your very speedy reply

Remeber im not recording from the player but from a Pc as a test
Store bought Dvds are not choppy at all but most home made ones are

W have used for example an RW dvd disk many times
for experimental and educational purposes only.
Some movies are choppy and some are not.

We also had tried it with an R Disk,And most of the collection we have
are not choppy at all using the same brand disks for each movie

But then again some are Choppy,So we cant exactly claim
now the Player does not like the Disks if Some movies play god and others dont

The fact that the discs play normal in other players, indicates the discs are recorded properly. The fact that commercial discs play in the recorder, indicate the recorder is likely not having any hardware playback issues. In other words, the discs themselves are fine and the player is fine.

So the only likely option left is that the player doesn't like the media you are using. It doesn't matter that some work and others don't (same brand and type).
