Hi everyone:![]()
I have found a player that plays MKV file that even VideoLAN couldn't. See my earlier post here: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic342909.html .
The player is called SMPlayer. The current version is 0.5.60. It is free but will take a small donation of 99 cents, if you choose to donate. You can download the player at:
http://smplayer.en.softonic.com/download
Luckily, after I deleted my MKV file, I still have its copy that I burnt onto a DVD disc as data. So I still had something to test the SMPlayer. It played my MKV file flawlessly.
I searched and did not find this SMPlayer mentioned at "How to play MKV, MP4, OGM, H264, AVC " subject. Perhaps, it's worth to investigate this other way of playing MKV?
Now, if I can find a software that will convert this MKV file to DVD, it would be great.![]()
p.s.: oh, I must mention this SMPlayer works in Windows 98SEas well in WinXP.
